Iconoclasm Crash Course

WAVES is an online news and editorial publication that covers pop culture and politics. Their target demographic is Millennial and Gen Z people of color. In the midst of the historic civil unrest of 2020, WAVES was set to publish their first issue, The Iconoclasm Issue. I was tasked with creating a series of posts for the WAVES Instagram account that would provide its readership with a background on the concept of iconoclasm, and connect history to pop culture in a way that felt aware, progressive, and relevant. I wrote copy for and designed the below infographics, three separate posts made up of three slides each that were part of a series we dubbed the “Iconoclasm Crash Course”.
